Collaborative Documentation Training
Course
Collaborative Documentation
Recording from September 28, 2016
Katherine Hirsch, LCSW
In this training Katherine presented collaborative documentation as a client-focused tool to help on many levels with the clinical work being done here at Washburn. Katherine has amazing knowledge, experience, and energy; as a seasoned clinician she experienced firsthand how a shift to using collaborative documentation can help engage clients, increase intentionality and transparency in the clinical work, and deepen clinical skill. Additionally, it significantly impacted her workload so that she was not doing paperwork late at night or on the weekends.
We broke into two groups to help with engagement and to focus more on particular programmatic needs, challenges, hopes, and questions. Community/home-based clinicians attended the morning session (Intensive In-Home, Crisis Stabilization, Case Management), and clinic- and school-based clinicians attended the afternoon session (Outpatient, Psych Training, School-Based).
We are optimistic that this training will be a useful clinical tool as well as contribute to the Agency’s overall Administrative Simplification efforts!
