*pre-approved by the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy, MN Board of Social Work, MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy, and MN Board of Psychology

Washburn Center for Children is known as a community health center that provides effective trauma treatment through its various treatment programs and services. In terms of level of care, clients who present with trauma in their past or present typically require more intensive, intentionally delivered mental health treatment, as trauma can have a deep impact on a child’s neurology, development, and overall functioning. Trauma-informed care is provided throughout the course of treatment, from assessment, through treatment planning, through the use of evidence-based treatments, and through planning for discharge/saying “goodbye.”
