About
Compassion Fatigue and BIPOC Helpers
As the BIPOC population increases across the nation, there is an expanding need to address mental health concerns with cultural humility. This training will dive into compassion fatigue with an emphasis on how it relates to BIPOC practitioners. Participants of this training will be able to identify aspects of compassion fatigue in their own lives and create plans to address it before it becomes a problem. Participants will also be able to identify sources of stress for BIPOC populations, as well as ways to support either themselves or other BIPOC practitioners. This training will include a mixture of lectures, dyadic and small group conversations, case studies, and written reflection.
